Who can sign up for On-Demand Pay?

In order to sign up for On-Demand Pay, you must:
● Be actively employed by a business that uses Gusto for payroll;
● Have an active Gusto Spending account1, with Wallet Premium2 activated; and
● Currently be set to receive pay via direct depositClair is a financial technology company, not a bank.

What is On-Demand Pay?

On-Demand Pay allows eligible Gusto Wallet1 users to advance a portion of their earned but unpaid wages before payday. This financial benefit is powered by Clair, with all advances issued by Clair’s partner bank, Pathward®, N.A. Advances are repaid automatically when you get paid.

How are my earnings calculated?

Your available advance is calculated as follows:
● You accrue 50% of your gross pay, based on the dollar amount of your most recent paycheck and the number of days in your Gusto pay period.
● Your maximum available advance amount is limited by your membership tier. (link to “Tiered limit increases and how to get them.”)
● Any earnings beyond your tier's maximum limit will not increase your available advance amount.

Important Notes:
● Accrued amounts under $50 will display as $0 in the app.
● Once you reach $50 in accrued earnings, the app will show your available balance.
● Accrual continues until you reach your tier's maximum limit.
